Harbour Series

One day I went to Kalk Bay Harbour to do a Fine Art photography 2 hr practical with Melanie Bentley Cornelius. She told me to leave my tripod alone and shoot with my long lens(100-400mm focal length). By using intentional camera movement (ICM) I captured objects seen in the harbour that other people don’t notice. Instead of capturing the obvious, namely boats, I photographed ropes, seaweed, life buoys, octopus and flecked snoek. I enjoyed seeing the unusual patterns that I created. The octopus was lying on the peer as well as fish and all were for sale. Each one tells a story.
